Sharon Osbourne attempted to take her own life after husband's Ozzy affair

Sharon Osbourne has opened up about the moment she learned of her husband Ozzy Osbourne’s affair and her heartbreaking reaction.

The Osbournes have been a celebrity power couple for decades, and although they’ve been inseparable in front of cameras, Sharon Osbourne has bravely opened up about the affair that rocked their marriage.

Sharon Osbourne ‘took an overdose’ after discovering Ozzy Osbourne affair

Speaking at her show, Sharon Osbourne: Cut The Crap, in London on Sunday, the TV star admitted how she attempted to take her life after learning about her husband of 42 years’ infidelity.

Sharon, 71, revealed she was “used to groupies” throwing themselves at her rock star partner, but was devastated when they forged deeper connections.

“But when he knows the name of the person, where they live and where they work… it is a whole different thing as you are emotionally invested,” The Mirror quotes. “I took, I don’t know how many pills.”

Reports of Ozzy’s four-year affair with hairdresser Michelle Pugh surfaced in 2016.

Former X Factor judge Sharon, who shares daughters Aimee, 40, and Kelly Osbourne, 39, and son Jack, 38, with Ozzy, explained how she felt her children would be able to “take care of themselves” since they were “older”.

“I took an overdose and locked myself in the bedroom,” she said. Luckily, a maid trying to clean the room saw the mother of three.

Two months after the scandal hit headlines, the Osbournes reconciled and Sharon publically forgave her husband on The Talk, her hosting gig at the time. “I just can’t think of my life without him,” she confessed.

The Black Sabbath rocker revisited his infidelity during his 2020 interview with GQ, admitting his regret of damaging the marriage.

Michelle Pugh called Ozzy Osbourne her ‘greatest love’

Osbourne’s mistress, Michelle Pugh, shared her side of the story in August 2016, branding their relationship as “indescribable” and the “greatest love of my life”.

The celebrity hairstylist met the Black Sabbath vocalist in 2011 when she first colored his hair. According to Pugh, Osbourne pursued her one-year later.

Pugh maintained their relationship was built on common interest and chemistry, but Ozzy’s representative seemingly denied their connection by claiming he had an addiction.

“Over the last six years, Ozzy Osbourne has been dealing with a sex addiction,” the representative told People. The performer is undergoing ‘intense therapy’.” They also apologized if Pugh “took their physical relationship out of context,” but the hairdresser has no regrets.
