Britney Spears changed her name and struggling to understand English on Instagram

Britney Spears has claimed she’s changed her name on Instagram in a lengthy post, also revealing she’s ‘having a hard time understanding English,’ despite the four-page text summarizing her recent trip.

The music star is known for her ‘risky’ Instagram posts, constantly leaving little to the imagination. She even told fans her favorite part of her trip was ‘being naked in the water,’ but that, surprisingly, wasn’t the most interesting part of Britney Spears‘ post.

Three pages into the lengthy post, the 42-year-old casually dropped the fact she’d changed her name on her profile.

“Since I changed my name to Xila, I’m having a hard time understanding English,” she wrote.

It’s not the first time fans have heard of the name change, as she changed her Instagram name to ‘XILA MARIA RIVER RED’ on the social media platform in Feb, with no explanation.

The name River Red randomly appeared on the star’s profile last Summer, again with no explanation for the name change. However, her username remains as Britney Spears.

Although the singer shared a lot about her trip, there was one thing that happened which was “too offensive to share.”

On the last page, she penned: “There are a lot of other things that happened on this trip that I’m not sharing as well… nothing is what it seems sometimes!!

“I portray that everything is completely perfect but trust me I’ve been through it as well and I would share those struggles but they are too offensive to share… it would make people extremely sad and honestly there’s not a damn thing I can do about it so just know my life is not as perfect as it seems.”

In 2021, the singer’s 13-year-conservatorship ended, and she’s since written a memoir, The Woman in Me. In the book, she outlined her struggles and went deeper into her extremely high-profile relationship with Justin Timberlake.

The star will ‘never return to the music industry’ but some are still hopeful

Earlier this year, rumors were circulating that the Circus singer was working on a new album, which she completely shut down.

“Just so we’re clear most of the news is trash!!!” she wrote at the time. “They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album… I will never return to the music industry!!!”

Despite the pretty stern denial, Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am said he’s ‘hopeful’ she’ll make her return.

“I really adore and appreciate Britney. Is she on a break? You can’t be on a break if you listen to music every day and it brings you joy,” he said on The Sunday Mirror’s Invite Only podcast.

“She’s just in a different position at the moment, but her relationship with music is as genuine as it gets. It’s the most honest that I’ve seen an artist have so publicly.

I don’t know if she will do a tour. I would hope. If not, it doesn’t take away from her legacy,” he concluded.

Spears and will.i.am worked together on 2012’s hit song, Scream & Shout, as well as Mind Your Business in 2023.
