Baselworld 2018: Harry Winstons Emerald new timepiece is as fresh as spring

The new Harry Winston Emerald timepiece, inspired by spring, comes in a delicate white-gold case and accompanied by double-tour soft pink straps. 

The watch retains its small and dainty size, measuring only nine millimetres by 15.55 millimetres. 

The timepiece is among the luxury items featured at Baselworld 2018, the world’s leading watch show highlighting the latest trends, which is taking place in Basel, Switzerland, from March 22 to 27.

The dial is made of mother-of-pearl and is paired with brilliant-cut diamonds that decorate the dial, case, lugs and strap buckle. 

Four pink sapphires are found on the dial, marking 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock. 

A single emerald-cut pink sapphire, a subtle reference to the name of the collection and the eight-sided shape of the case, takes centre stage at 12 o’clock. 

Harry Winston was known for preferring emerald-cuts for his diamonds, and that personal preference is found in the case shape of this timepiece. 

The hexagonal double emerald-shape is also found in the brand’s logo, encircling his initials, HW.
